Eric and Sainty Nelsen: 1883 Actor and Voice Actress

Eric Nelsen is an Emmy-award winner for both acting and producing. Sainty Nelsen is an actor and Emmy-award-winning producer. The Nelsens are also parents to two young children and call Fort Worth home.

The Nelsens took different paths to reach New York City in pursuit of acting careers, but they both made, winning multiple awards along the way.

It didn’t take long for 13-year-old Eric to discover a love for the triple threat: acting, dancing, and singing. He eventually made his way to Broadway and then Hulu’s revival of All My Children.

From a young age, Sainty dreamed of performing. After graduating from Arlington Heights, Sanity attended Baldwin-Wallace University where she studied acting before pursuing it as a career.

For Sainty, meeting Eric was love at first sight, and she was so convinced of their future that she broke up with a long-term boyfriend. Eric knew immediately that dating Sainty would not be a casual relationship. They were both right and two years later they were married.

Sainty helped Eric create the audition tape for 1883. Eric almost fell out of his chair when Taylor Sheridan not only asked him to play Ennis but then told Eric where filming would take place.

Sainty shares how their second born, Mick, suffered from Pyloric Stenosis as a newborn. With the support of family, friends, and neighbors, Sanity was able to focus on helping their son recover while Eric continued working.

While filming Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, Sainty’s co-star and voice-over veteran Dennis Leary told her she sounded like a Rugrat and should lean into it. Her agency helped Sainty book a role on a popular Netflix show tailored to her personality.

Eric and Sainty are excited to continue working while playing a part in shaping the future of this city.

In this episode, we learn how a young couple’s drive and talent has taken them to incredible heights in a hard-to-crack industry. Through their support of each other and the community around them, Eric and Sainty Nelsen are continuing to act and produce as they raise a family in Fort Worth.
